The plaintiff, John Diluciano, appeals from the decision of the workers' compensation review board (board) affirming the commissioner's dismissal of his claim for workers' compensation benefits for injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident that occurred while he was traveling to work. On appeal, the plaintiff claims that the board improperly determined that a security officer of the state military department (department), deriving his police powers from General Statutes
