Opinion

SCHALLER, J. These consolidated appeals arise from the attempt of the plaintiff, First National Bank of Litchfield, to recover money it had loaned to the defendants Linda Miller and Bruce Miller (collectively, Millers) to finance their purchase of a boat from the defendant Norwest Marine, Inc. (Norwest). The plaintiff and Norwest appeal upon respective grants of certification,1 from the judgment of the Appellate Court reversing the judgment of the trial court, which had concluded that the Millers were obligated to repay the loan from the plaintiff. The issues before us in these certified appeals are whether the Appellate Court properly concluded that: (1) the Millers did not accept the boat in question; and (2) General Statutes
