LAVERY, J. In these consolidated appeals, the plaintiff, John Lathrop, and the intervening plaintiff, Olin Corporation-New Haven Copper Company (Olin),1 appeal from the summary judgment rendered by the trial court in favor of the defendant, Malcolm Pirnie, Inc.2 The dispositive issue on appeal is whether the court properly determined that no genuine issue of material fact existed as to whether the seven year statute of limitations set forth in General Statutes
