LUTHER DOUGLAS, Appellant, vs. STATE OF FLORIDA, Appellee. [May 6, 2004] PER CURIAM. Luther Douglas, who was twenty-five years old at the time of the crime, was convicted of the December 1999 sexual battery and first-degree murder of eighteen-year-old Mary Ann Hobgood. The jury recommended a sentence of death by a vote of eleven to one.
