Donald Banks appeals his conviction of first-degree murder and sentence of death.1 For the reasons stated below, we affirm his conviction and sentence. I. BACKGROUND As the trial court accurately explained in its sentencing order, the evidence presented at trial established the following regarding the murder of Linda Volum: During the late evening hours of March 9 or the early morning hours of March 10, 2005, the Victim was stabbed to death. The killing probably occurred between midnight and 4:00 a.m. on March 10, 2005.
