Betty LaPoint was charged with cannabis trafficking (720ILCS 550/5.1(a) (West 2002)) and unlawful possession of cannabiswith intent to deliver (720 ILCS 550/5(g) (West 2002)). Shefiled a motion to suppress the cannabis, alleging that it wasobtained through an unreasonable search and seizure in violationof the federal and state constitutions (U.S. Const., amend. IV;Ill.
