OPINION On November 19, 1999, at age 17, respondent, Jaime P., was adjudicated delinquent based upon her admission of guilt to the offense of aggravated arson, a Class X felony, and was sentenced to, inter alia, five years' probation. On October 27, 2003, several weeks after her twenty-first birthday, respondent petitioned the juvenile division of the circuit court of Kane County to terminate her probation on the ground that the jurisdiction of the juvenile court expired when she attained the age of 21.
