The plaintiff, Vanessa Jackson, brought this class actionlawsuit against South Holland Dodge, Inc. (hereinafter, SouthHolland Dodge or dealership), and Chrysler Financial Corporation(Chrysler), alleging violations of the Consumer Fraud andDeceptive Business Practices Act (Consumer Fraud Act) (815ILCS 505/1 et seq. (West 1994)), and the Sales Finance AgencyAct (205 ILCS 660/1 et seq. (West 1994)), stemming from thelisting on the parties' financing statement of a charge for thepurchase of an extended service warranty. Chrysler filed a motionto dismiss, contending that its conduct complied with therequirements of the federal Truth in Lending Act (TILA) (15U.S.C.
