January 12, 2012 Per Curiam.

We find that Respondent, Augustus J. Mendenhall, engaged in attorney misconduct by committing criminal acts, including attempted murder, that reflect adversely on the lawyer's honesty, trustworthiness, or fitness as a lawyer. For this misconduct, we find that Respondent should be permanently disbarred.

This matter is before the Court on the report of the hearing officer appointed by this Court to hear evidence on the Indiana Supreme Court Disciplinary Commission's "Verified Complaint for Disciplinary Action." Respondent's 2008 admission to this state's bar subjects him to this Court's disciplinary jurisdiction. See IND. CONST. art. 7,
