CAPITAL PROMOTIONS, L.L.C., Plaintiff-Appellant, vs. DON KING PRODUCTIONS, INC., DON KING, and BILLY BAXTER, Defendants-Appellees. ________________________________________________________________
Appeal from the Iowa District Court for Polk County, Joel D. Novak, Judge.
Capital Promotions, L.L.C. appeals from the order dismissing its tort claim against Don King Productions, Inc. for lack of personal jurisdiction. AFFIRMED.
Joseph Bertogli and Kenneth Munro, Des Moines, for appellant. Mari Culver of Duncan Green, Brown & Langeness, P.C., Des Moines, and Gerald G. Saltarelli and James A. Morsch of Butler, Rubin, Saltarelli & Boyd L.L.P., Chicago, Illinois, for appellees.
Considered by Vogel, P.J., and Mahan and Zimmer, JJ.
2 MAHAN, J. Capital Promotions, L.L.C. (Capital) appeals the district court's grant of summary judgment that resulted in the dismissal of Capital's claim against Don King Productions, Inc. (hereinafter DKP) for intentional interference with a contractual relationship. After reviewing the record and arguments on appeal, we agree with the district court's conclusion that it did not have personal jurisdiction over DKP. Even when every fact issue is resolved in Capital's favor, DKP's contacts with the State of Iowa were not sufficient to confer either general or specific jurisdiction. The findings of the district court were accurate, its reasoning sound, and the application of the law correct. Any further discussion of the issue by this court would add little to the disposition of this case. Accordingly, we affirm. AFFIRMED.
