AND HIGHLANDS INSURANCE COMPANY ON WRIT OF CERTIORARI TO THE COURT OF APPEAL, 1ST CIRCUIT, STATE OF LOUISIANA BLEICH, J.* ISSUE We granted writs in this case to determine the amount of damages a plaintiff may recover after stipulating that the amount in controversy did not exceed the jurisdictional limits placed on civil jury trials by La. C.C.P. art. 1732(1).1 The court of appeal reduced the trial court's judgment to conform with the parties' stipulation. We affirm.
