LEMMON, Justice* This is a prosecution for armed robbery. The issue at this stage of the proceeding is whether the district judge properly suppressed a statement made to the police by defendant, who was sixteen years old at the time of the alleged crime and statement.

Facts The police, responding to a call by the victim of an armed robbery on the street, drove through the area of the robbery with the victim in the police car. Upon prompting by the victim, the police stopped defendant, who was riding a bicycle. The victim positively identified defendant as the robber.
