The defendant, Bruce E. Robinson, was convicted on two counts of distribution of cocaine, in violation of La. R.S. 40:967.1, and one count of felony theft over $500, in violation of La. R.S. 14:67.  Robinson was originally sentenced to life imprisonment on one count of distribution of cocaine and to 20 years
