The defendant, Torris Dewayne Shaw, was originally charged with distribution  of MDMA (ecstasy), a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance.  However, he was allowed to plead guilty to attempted distribution and was sentenced to 10 years at hard labor.  On appeal, the defendant contends that his sentence is excessive.  We affirm the defendant
