Jill C. Storch v. Deutsche Bank National Trust Company
State: Maryland
Court: Maryland District Court
Case Date: 04/12/2005
Preview:IN THE UNITED STATES DISTRICT COURT FOR THE DISTRICT OF MARYLAND JILL C. STORCH * * v. * Civil No. JFM-05-107 * DEUTSCHE BANK NATIONAL TRUST * COMPANY * ***** MEMORANDUM Jill C. Storch has filed this pro se appeal from an order entered by the Bankruptcy Court denying her motion to reconsider an order the Bankruptcy Court had previously entered granting appellee's motion annulling the automatic stay to permit foreclosure proceedings against 8524 Willow Oak Road, Baltimore, Maryland. Orders denying motions to reconsider are to be reviewed under an abuse of discretion standard. See Browder v. Department of Corrections, 434 U.S. 257, 263 n.7 (1978). Plaintiff has made no showing that the Bankruptcy Court abused its discretion in denying her motion to reconsider (or, indeed, in granting the motion seeking a nullification of the automatic stay to which the motion to reconsider was directed). Accordingly, the Bankruptcy Court's order will be affirmed.
