Before: BORRELLO, P.J., and O'CONNELL and TALBOT, JJ. PER CURIAM. Defendants appeal by leave granted from the trial court's order denying their request for a protective order. We conclude that the trial court abused its discretion when it denied defendants' motion for a protective order and ordered discovery to proceed. Therefore, we vacate the trial court's order and remand for proceedings consistent with this opinion. Plaintiffs consist of a group of 28 Michigan residents from various cities across the state. Plaintiffs are challenging the constitutionality of the Local Government and School District Fiscal Accountability Act, 2011, MCL 141.1501 et seq., commonly known as the Emergency
