COURT OF APPEALS

JEANNE SNYDER, Petitioner-Appellee, v DOUGLASS MOORE, Respondent-Appellant.

UNPUBLISHED June 20, 2006

No. 259498 Wayne Circuit Court LC No. 04-431546-PP

Before: Cooper, P.J., and Neff and Borrello, JJ. MEMORANDUM. Respondent appeals as of right from the trial court's denial of his motion to terminate an ex parte personal protection order (PPO) obtained by petitioner, as well as the court's issuance of an amended PPO. Respondent argues that the court abused its discretion by failing to terminate the PPO, including a firearms provision, and extending the length of time the PPO was effective. We dismiss this appeal as moot. This appeal is moot because the amended PPO being challenged by respondent expired during the pendency of this appeal. Thus, it is no longer possible to grant him relief from the provisions of the PPO. Accordingly, we dismiss this appeal as moot.1 See, e.g., Eller v Metro Industrial Contracting, Inc, 261 Mich App 569, 571; 683 NW2d 242 (2004). Appeal dismissed as moot. /s/ Jessica R. Cooper /s/ Janet T. Neff /s/ Stephen L. Borrello

Were we to reach the merits of the issues raised, we would find no abuse of discretion or grounds for relief.
