Defendant pleaded nolo contendere to manslaughter, MCL 750.321; MSA 28.553, and was sentenced to seven to fifteen years' imprisonment. He appeals as of right. We affirm. This case has been decided without oral argument pursuant to MCR 7.214(A). The trial court did not abuse its discretion in imposing sentence. The seven-year minimum sentence falls within the recommended guidelines' range and is proportionate to the seriousness of the circumstances surrounding defendant and his offense. People v Merriweather, 447 Mich 799, 806; 527 NW2d 460 (1994); People v Milbourn, 435 Mich 630; 461 NW2d 1 (1990); People v Clark , 207 Mich App 500, 502; 526 NW2d 357 (1994); People v Dukes, 189 Mich App 262, 266; 471 NW2d 651 (1991).
