Before: Davis, P.J., and Murray and Beckering, JJ. MEMORANDUM. In these consolidated cases, respondents appeal as of right from orders of the circuit court denying their respective motions to modify or terminate personal protection orders against them. We dismiss these cases as moot. -1-

"An issue is deemed moot when an event occurs that renders it impossible for a reviewing court to grant relief." B P 7 v Bureau of State Lottery, 231 Mich App 356, 359; 586 NW2d 117 (1998). "As a general rule, an appellate court will not decide moot issues." Id. Respondents nowhere invoke the doctrine according to which a court may resolve a technically moot issue if it is one of public significance that is likely to recur while evading judicial review. See Contesti v Attorney Gen, 164 Mich App 271, 278; 416 NW2d 410 (1987). The order at issue in Docket No. 277576 expired on March 5, 2008. The order at issue in Docket No. 277578 expired on March 6, 2008. The order at issue in Docket No. 277577 expired on March 31, 2008.
