Defendant appeals as of right from the partial denial of its motion for summary disposition under MCR 2.116(C)(7) (governmental immunity). We hold that the trial court erred in concluding that the "public building exception" to governmental immunity applied to plaintiff's claim. This exception applies only to a failure to "repair or maintain" a public building. Plaintiff alleges that her injuries were caused by a defect in the floor
