MEMORANDUM OPINION BY PRESIDENT JUDGE LEADBETTER

FILED: December 11, 2009

Hoda Khalil (Claimant), pro se, petitions this court for review of three orders of the Unemployment Compensation Board of Review (Board), two of which dismissed her appeals as untimely pursuant to Section 501(e) of the Unemployment Compensation Law (Law),1 and one which affirmed the referee's denial of benefits pursuant to Section 401(b) of the Law.2 After review, we affirm. Claimant was employed by Jones Apparel, Inc. (Employer) for more than twenty years until January 14, 2008, when she accepted Employer's offer of an early retirement package. On April 20, 2008, Claimant filed an application for unemployment compensation benefits with the Allentown Unemployment Compensation Service Center, stating that her last date of work was April 4, 2008, and requesting backdating for waiting week ending April 26, 2008, as well as benefits beginning with waiting week ending May 3, 2008.3 In the first Notice of Determination mailed June 6, 2008, Claimant's request to backdate waiting week ending April 26, 2008 was denied pursuant to Section 401(b) of the Law. 4 In a second Notice of Determination mailed that same date, Claimant was denied benefits pursuant to Section 402(b) of the Law for waiting week ending May 3, 2008.5 The last day to timely appeal both Notices was June 23, 2008. Then, on October 7, 2008, Claimant filed a claim for backdating for compensable weeks
