MEMORANDUM OPINION Appellant, Cedrick Lamont Smith, was convicted of possession of a controlled substance, cocaine, in an amount of one gram or more but less than four grams.1 (Trial cause number D-1-DC-10-200961, appellate cause No. 07-11-0034-CR) Appellant was also convicted of evading arrest with a prior conviction for evading arrest.2 (Trial cause number D-1-DC-10-907273, appellate cause No. 07-11-0035-CR) Each indictment was
