Duncan, Justice Delivered and Filed: December 18, 2002 DISMISSED FOR WANT OF JURISDICTION On November 25, 2002, we ordered appellant to show cause why this appeal should not be dismissed for lack of jurisdiction because he is trying to appeal from a pretrial, non-final ruling by the trial court regarding his motion to depose witnesses. Generally, we only have jurisdiction to consider an appeal by a criminal defendant where there has been a judgment of conviction. McKown v. State, 915 S.W.2d 160, 161 (Tex. App.--Fort Worth 1996, no pet.). We do not have jurisdiction to review interlocutory orders unless that jurisdiction has been expressly granted to us by law. Id. There are narrow exceptions to this rule and appellant's appeal does not fall into any of the recognized exceptions. See id. Nor have we found a statute that would authorize us to address appellant's interlocutory appeal. Because this appeal does not concern an appealable order, this appeal is dismissed for want of jurisdiction. PER CURIAM DO NOT PUBLISH
