George Kirk Prendergast was convicted by a jury of a misdemeanor offense of driving while intoxicated and sentenced by the trial court to twelve months community supervision.  On appeal, Prendergast contends the trial court violated his Sixth Amendment right to counsel by denying his motion for continuance after his attorney
