The court has considered relator's petition for writ of mandamus and holds this court has no jurisdiction to grant the
relief he seeks. See Tex. Gov. Code Ann. 22.221(a), (b), (d) (Vernon Supp. 2000); see also In re Coronado, 980
S.W.2d 691, 692-93 (Tex. App.-San Antonio 1998, orig. proceeding) (no jurisdiction over district clerk except in aid of
court's jurisdiction); Escobar v. State, 880 S.W.2d 782, 783 (Tex. App.-Houston [1st Dist.] 1993, no pet.) (prisoner not
entitled to free transcript in order to pursue habeas corpus relief); Silva v. Klevenhagen, 833 S.W.2d 746, 746 (Tex.
App.-Houston [1st Dist.] 1992, orig. proceeding) (no mandamus jurisdiction over sheriff). Accordingly, relator's
petition for writ of mandamus is dismissed for lack of jurisdiction.
